Electrical steel, usually referring to cold rolled electrical steel, can be divided into two major categories including
oriented electrical steel and non-oriented electrical steel. It also known as silicon steel sheet, is an indispensable
important soft magnetic alloy in electric power, electronics and military industry. It is mainly used as the core of
various motors, generators and transformers
Application
Non-oriented steel is widely used in various large and medium-sized rotating machines, hermetical motors. General use A.C. motors, small precision motors, vehicle-mounted motors, and small transformers, current and potential transformers, reactors and magnetic amplifiers, welding transformers including ballast etc.
